| ABBY Abby is a 1 year old purebred Wheaten. Abby was purchased in a petstore and unfortunately has the same problem as two of our other recent rescues, Hazel and Betsy, in that she too dribbles urine. Three more reasons why you should never buy from a petstore or even shop in one that sells puppies and kittens! Abby's story is a little different as she was adopted by a family who tried to help her. They were college students and they did pay for surgery for her. The surgery seemed to be a success but after a month the dribbling began again. The vet wanted to do another surgery but they simply could not afford it. So, although they loved her they decided it was best to give her up so that she can get a chance at getting the help she needs. So Abby is now part of our rescue and we will try and get her that help More than likely, Abby will need to wear a diaper while inside for the rest of her life. It really is not a big deal, requiring a change about twice a day. We currently use pull-ups on her and you can see in the picture how cute she looks with them on. She is a extremely sweet, loving and good natured Wheaten. She never met another dog or a person that she did not love. She has an amazing personality and intelligence that you can see shining through her eyes. She is going to make a wonderful pet for a family that can see past her one disability to the gem of a Wheaten she is. Abby was spayed in the first surgery and is up to date on shots.
