AIDAN

Aidan is a purebred male Soft Coated
Wheaten Terrier. His estimated DOB is
7/04

Aidan has had a tough time of it. His
pitiful excuses for owners moved and
left Aidan alone in an empty apartment.
Thankfully he was discovered before it
was too late and other than being a little
thin he seems to be ok.

He ended up in a animal shelter and we
found out about him when enquiring
about another Wheaten that was to the
same shelter. They asked us to take both
dogs into rescue and we agreed.

He is friendly and has gotten along well
with other dogs

UPDATE FROM FOSTER MOM

Both Aidan and Cammie arrived in pretty
good condition (as well as their
circumstances allowed) last night.
Laurie (bless her brave soul) drove not
once but twice on a summer Sunday
afternoon across Manhattan from New
Jersey to Brooklyn to pick up these
sweeties. She drove them up the
Thruway to a rest stop where my son
(who was coming off his Marine Reserve
duty weekend in Newburgh) had driven
down to pick them up.  The dogs
traveled well, seemed to have some
familiarity with cars, and arrived in the
early evening in Watervliet (a little city
near Albany).

Aidan is ready to adopt, as Laurie said
when she delivered him.  He needs a
little more treatment for a very mild
kennel cough (which treatment is on-
going) and a hair cut and this boy can be
off to his forever home.  At 35 pounds he
is thin so he is going to be a substantial
Wheaten when he gets up to a proper
weight.  He has lots of energy, even
having been neglected.

Aidan learns very quickly.  We are
already working on sit and stay and
reminding him about toilet training,
which I think he knew and has only
forgotten.  I think he was in a loving
home for a long time because he does
not have any of the signs of abuse (other
than being abandoned in an apartment,
which is appalling abuse).  He is curious
and friendly.  Aidan will make some family
a wonderful Wheaten addition.

Aidan is neutered and up to date on
shots and is located in Watervliet, NY
