Part 4
AT THE VIRGIN ISLANDS

Our Irish Terrors escaped into the St. Thomas business centre and soon found a change of clothes
which were much more suited to a couple of red blooded Irish lads!

Our Band members, Jake, Oliver and Bailey were the first to go sight seeing. Just as they were
leaving the wharf, they thought they spotted the Irish Terrors making a beeline for the shop.s

"Hey!" exclaimed Oliver as he picked up a stick to play with, "I thought those two were under house
arrest and locked in their cabin!"

"WHAT two?" asked Jake, who was also looking for a game of 'throw the stick'.

"Those guys that shot Ali the Alligator and tried to rob that rich lady! Didn't you see them over
there, sneaking around the shops?" replied Oliver.

Bailey looked worried. "Well," he said, "This is no time for playing silly games! We have to notify the
police!"
They took off in search of a policeman.

Meanwhile, 12 of our friends had gone swimming. Maddie came hurrying over to join the swimmers,
Kansas, Katie and Brody. It is a such a beautiful day and the water was warm and inviting.

Rose was having a sleep in the sun, and Finnegan, Maggie and Savannah had found a crab, but Rooney
warned them not to touch it because it would grab them, and then they'd be sorry! (The crab was
pretty scared too!)

Max was watching from a nearby boat, and Lacey O'Quinn's eyes lit up at the mention of 'crab'.
Perhaps they could cook it for lunch? Even Rufus came at a run at the thought of having a crab
snack.
Several of the girls had gone shopping. Some had visited a jewel shop and others a dress and gift
shop.

OH! There was SO MUCH to choose from! Watches, necklaces, brooches and rings. Keeleigh had
spent most of the money she'd brought to spend on shopping, but Sugarbear offered to lend her
some.
The other girls who were at the dress and gift shop where having just as much fun deciding what to
buy. Rose had joined them after her swim, and Dr. Tipper, Nurse Tara and Madame Killian were
with them too, along with Kelsie, Maise Louise and Stella. Oh, how they LOVED shopping!
Several of the boys found a secluded place to swim, and decided to go 'skinny dipping'.

Beasley was afraid some girls might be hiding in the bushes, spying on them, but Dunkin and Kramer
rather wished they were! Boomer, our 'Peeping Tom', stood on his hind legs on the jutting trunk of a
tree, and called out to any girls that might be lurking - trust him!

Even Captain Dasher Dan was there, and Henry was concerned about his complexion and thought he
should use some sunscreen.
While all these exciting things were happening, our two Irish Terrors were keeping a low profile.
They were wearing disguises that they hoped would enable them to see the sights without being
recognized.
Our Scuba diving friends found a good reef and got suited up. Their first open dive was so exciting.
They were captivated with all the colourful coral and reef fish, but the highlight of the dive was
when they came across a large turtle. They even had a chat to it!
Fortunately, (for the crab) it managed to burrow into the sand, leaving only a little hole where it
had been. This got Lacey O'Quinn to wondering if SHE could dig a hole large enough to disapper
into. What fun THAT would be, and what wonderful tricks she could play on her mom and dad back
home!

The scuba class, accompanied by Jimmy, hired a boat and were ready to take off to the nearest
reef. Jimmy was also a keen diver, and he thought this a good opportunity to hitch a free ride!
END OF PART FOUR
Back in town, there was a bit of romancing
going on.

Kodi and Abby had set up a hammock near
the beach and were definitely 'getting
acquainted'.

Bailey Beachboy had selected a romantic
place with a magnificent view of the harbour
where he hoped to win Jessie's heart. He
even  admitted to her that he owned Oil
Wells in Texas. Surely that would influence
her affections in his favour!
Max and Murphy M had chosen a luxury restaurant to woo Punkie and Savannah. They ordered a
spectacular four-course meal and Murphy was absolutely taken with Punkie and she with him.
Likewise, Max was captivated by Savannah and, though he didn't know it yet, she thought he was
the most wonderful man she had ever met.

In the course of conversation, Murphy revealed that he was in politics and was standing for the
position of 'Mayor of Wheatenville'  in the next election. Punky was impressed! Max then shared
a secret with them all, and told them about his three ranches in California.

These fellows really WERE rich! Madame Killian had been 100% correct in her predictions.

The girls decided to consult her again when they were back on the ship to see if there were
'wedding bells' in that crystal ball!
Jake, Bailey and Oliver had told a policeman about having seen the Irish Terrors, and they were
informed that the ship had notified the local police about their escape, and a search was being
carried out. So far, they had not been located, but they would surely be apprehended as soon as
they attempted to re-board the ship to return to the US.

So the boys in the band decided to leave it to the cops, and go fishing. They were joined by Maddie,
Lacey O'Quinn, Kansas, Brody and Rufus who were all keen to catch a few 'biggies' for their dinner.

Lacey and Kansas, being their usual absent-minded, dizzy selves, forgot to wear hats, so Rufus and
Brody gave them theirs. The fish were certainly biting and soon they were reeling them in, much to
the delight of the girls present.
Meanwhile, some couples went sightseeing together and found a lovely waterfall. Maggie and
Finnegan had paired off, along with Rooney and Gracie, Dunkin and Katie, and guess what, Boomer
had found himself a girlfriend in Calee and was making a fine impression.

However, Dunkin's attempts to woo Katie weren't making the progress he had hoped for. Still,
there was plenty of time left yet and he certainly wasn't about to give up!
The day was drawing to a close and some of our friends were watching the sunset. There's nothing
quite like an Island sunset to turn a young man's heart to thoughts of love. Murphy V, Dasher Dan
and Kramer had teamed up with Maise Louise, Killian and Bristol and were making the best of their
final evening in St. Thomas, before the Wheaten Princess would be heading back home the next
morning Romance was definitely in the air!
Guiness and Murphy F had successfully crept back on the ship in the dark, early hours of the
morning. Now they had to figure out how to find an empty cabin to occupy for the voyage home. They
found just what they were looking for in the crew's quarters and settled in for the night.

The morning dawned all too soon, and everyone was back on the Wheaten Princess when it was
ready to leave port. Several lined the deck wishing they were just arriving instead of departing.
Some of the girls were crying, and being comforted by the boys. It was so sad to be leaving.

They all took a long, last look at this magical island as the ship cast off and began to move slowly
from the wharf.
