LILY

Lily is a 4 month old purebred female
Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier. Her date of
birth is 12-8-06.

Lily was rescued by Iowa Wheaten
Terrier Rescue who then contacted us
and asked if we could take them in and
find them homes as they did not have
the facilities to care for them. They had
worked with another Wheaten "rescue"
in the past but had decided they no
longer wished to be affliated with them
and contacted us for help. We made the
trip to Iowa to meet with them and pick
the puppies up and bring them back to
Missouri.

Lily and her sisters,
Rosie and Daisy
came from a puppymill in Iowa. They are
undersocialized and very scared and will
need a lot of love and attention in order
to learn that all people are not bad.

July 2007 Update from foster mom:

Lily has turned out to be a Fur-ball of
Fun! When we first got her, she was
afraid to come out of the crate. Soon,
she found that out Wheaten was fun to
play with and the walks in the
neighborhood were much more
interesting than staying in the crate.
Although she loves having some
freedom, if you openand say "crate", she
readily goes right in.

She has been through puppy class and
quickly learned "come, sit and down".
The instructor noticed how unaware she
was in the beginning and then at the
end, how much her socialization had
improved.

Lily has a wonderful, soft silky and
flowing-in-the-wind coat. She has been
easy to groom, but will easily get mats
with her fine hair. She is pretty mild
tempered and gotten along well with our
dog, although she can be a little
possessive and eager to get our dog's
food. She has certainly been fun and a
pleasure to have in our home.
