Missouri Puppymill Auction

On June 17, 2006 a auction will be held here in Missouri in which 8 of our
beloved Wheatens, 5 females and 3 males will go to the highest bidder. We
have an opportunity to go to this auction and try and save as many of these
dogs as we can and release them from their lives in puppymill hell. Several
of these dogs are just babies and can be saved many years of misery.

However, we cannot do this without help. We need foster/forever homes
for the dogs after they have received vet care. Each one of these dogs
will need extensive veterinary work if past mill releases are any indication.
It generally costs from $300 - $500 per dog to rehabilitate each dog and that
does not count the initial cost of buying them at the auction. You can get

With your help were able to rescue 5 Wheatens from the auction
today!

While we would have liked to rescue all of them - there turned out to be 9 at the auction - we were only able to
get 5. However the millers did not get them easy! They paid over $600 for each of the dogs they got. It was sad
not to be able to get the other 4 but we will just have to rejoice for the ones we were able to save!

These dogs are not nearly as mentally damaged as some of the other dogs we have gotten out of mills, they are
all friendly with tails wagging and will be ready to go straight to forever homes as soon as they have been
spayed and neutered. If you are interested in one of these great Wheatens, get your applications in ASAP! Barring
any health problems, all but Rose should be ready to go home by mid July.

Allie - F - DOB 10/05/00 - This is a very sweet girl with a nice coat but will probably have to be shaved due to matts.
She is very friendly and outgoing!

Bailey - F - DOB 10/05/00 - What a sweetie - a little shy but her tail wags a mile a
minute - Already short so won't need to be shaved down.

As you can see the van was loaded down with crates and Wheatens for the hour each way drive!

Charlie - M - DOB 1/15/06 - This is a tiny little boy. He is irish coated so it will take time for his coat to fill in. Poor baby got
sick on the car ride home which is why he is wrapped in the towel. He is very, very sweet.

Ellie - F - DOB 10/05/02 - Can you say PERSONALITY? This is a gorgeous outgoing girl who is always smiling. She is such a
sweetie!

Rose - F - DOB 3/9/00 - Another very sweet outgoing girl. Her little tail wags so fast it is just a blur. The paperwork that
came with Rose said she may be pregnant so we will have to wait a few weeks and see if she is or not.
