Dudley is 3 years old and just started with the fear of thunderstorms this year. He
certainly didn't enjoy the fireworks either, but the Thundershirt really has helped
him!! We tried the DAP spray and other remedies other than medication. Nothing
seemed to help. Before the thundershirt, he would drool, pant as fast as he possibly
could, entire body would be shaking, and he would try to get as close to one of us as
he possibly could. Now, he is much calmer!! I can still tell he's a little nervous at
times but the panting, drooling, shaking is gone! He can actually lay down and rest
with this on. He seems to enjoy it. In fact, there have been times when he has gone
over to it seemingly asking to have the shirt put on him....and other times seems mad
when it is taken off!! It is hilarious. The thing I recommend most is trying to put it on
at least 30 minutes or so before a storm, if you have that warning. We notice that it
seems to help more when it has been on for a little bit of a time before the very loud
claps of thunder. And I recommend giving it a couple of tries before you really place
a verdict on it! I hope it works for all of the other S'Wheaties!!!

not eliminate his fear but the shaking is at least 75% better than it was.

I am the proud owner of a very well adjusted puppymill survivor, except for one thing... he is terrified of
thunderstorms. He knows they are coming before we do and the pacing begins. During very bad storms the pacing
was followed with repeated vomiting. Unfortunately not only was he upset but he caused our other dogs that are
not typically fearful of storms to become on edge and pace also. I tried t-shirts and ace wraps and nothing seemed
to stay on him tightly we were on the verge of having to use sedative medication, so I decided to give the
thundershirt a try first. I will not say that he is 100% better but the vomiting has completely stopped and the pacing
can be stopped by placing him on the couch with me. His breathing seems more relaxed with much less panting. It
is very easy to use and washes up nicely. The fabric is soft and not too hot as he all know Wheatens do not like the
heat. I am very happy with our purchase and plan to use it for a long time to come.
