| Wheaten Meetin' 2001 "Who let the dogs out??" |
The First Annual "Wheaten Meetin'" was held in Kansas City, MO, March
16, 17 & 18, 2001. People traveled from all over the country and brought
their Wheatens along! Friday night was spent making items for our float
and Saturday morning we participated in The Kansas City St. Patrick's Day
Parade and the dogs were quite a hit! Saturday evening we had our party
which was broadcast live over the internet using a webcam so those
unable to make it to Kansas City could join in the fun! On Sunday a dog
show was in town which some member's dogs were entered in. All in all a
wonderful weekend for all those who could make it and for those who
could not we even produced a video of the event.
Our 2002 Wheaten Meetin' is now in the works. Click here to visit the 2002
website. We will again participate in the St. Patrick's Day Parade on
Sunday, March 17 and we are planning a full day event for Saturday the
16th with seminars, fun dog matches as well as the decorating of the float!
