TEN YEAR ANNIVERSARY EVENT!
"From Puppymill Jail to Furever homes -
A S'Wheat Rescue Odyssey!"
The Wheaten Meetin' is a yearly gathering held in
the Kansas City, Missouri area for Wheaten and
Wheatable owners and anyone who loves the breed.

This year will be the TENTH ANNIVERSARY of the
Meetin' ! In celebration of the Anniversary we will
be expanding the Meetin' by several days this year
to allow for sight seeing and shopping!

You can come whenever works for you and the
weekend festivities will go on as usual.

WE WANT TO WIN FIRST PLACE IN
THE PARADE FOR THE ANNIVERSARY
AND WE NEED YOU AND YOUR
WHEATENS TO DO THAT!!

A tentative schedule for this years Meetin'
is posted below.

Anyone with or without a Wheaten of their own
is invited to attend. We usually have more rescue
dogs than we have people to walk them in the
parade. What better way to learn about the breed
and people who are owned by them than
attending the Meetin'?

WHEATEN MEETIN' PARADE WEAR
We have changed our "uniform" to a vest that will be a one time purchase and used every year. The
vests will come with the rescue logo embroidered on them. Each year we will create a new patch that
can be purchased and applied to your vest. The more years you have attended - the more patches
your vest will sport! In addition please wear black pans and a black shirt under your vests.

HELP US PUT THE "ODD" IN ODYSSEY!
This year, in addition to our regular parade wear, we (the people - not the
dogs!) are going to be wearing odd and brightly colored knee high socks
over our black pants. These will be fun and help us stand out in the parade
and to the judges and will tie in with the parade them of "odyssey" The
more colorful and odd the better - we will have a contest on Saturday                                                   
night and give prizes for the best socks!

Clarion Sports Complex this is the location                
                                                                                        where the Meetin' will be held. Please note that        
                                                                                        this is the same hotel we have used in past               
                                                                                        years but they did change their name this year.

The remainder of the evening will consist of socializing, raffle of Wheaten items, silent auctions, etc.
