BARLEY

Barley is a 4 year old purebred male Soft
Coated Wheaten Terrier

Barley has Addison's disease. He has to
have a daily pill and a monthly shot to
control the disease but will live a long
healthy life with the proper medication.

Barley's owner left him at a vet clinic and
eventually he ended up in a kill shelter.
The shelter would not adopt him out to
the public due to the Addisons so he
was available to rescue only. After a
cherry pick Wheaten 'Rescue' failed to
pick him up and nearly cost him his life,
he was slated to be euthanized but
thankfully we found out about him and
made arrangements to get him safe.

Barley is by all accounts a very sweet
dog, gets along well with both people
and other animals and is very outgoing
and friendly.  The shelter said: "He is a
sweetheart. He loves people, shakes all
over when you pet him and his little butt
never stops wiggling."

You can see that in the shelter pics, his
tail is wagging so fast it is just a blur!

Before applying to adopt Barley, please
research Addison's and talk with your
vet so you are fully aware of the disease,
its symptoms and treatments. Dogs with
Addison's live long lives as long as they
are taken care of properly.

We will get more pics and information
after his foster family gets to know him a
bit.

He is neutered and UTD on shots and is
located in Severna Park, MD
