Wheaten Terrier. His DOB is 10/06 them is below: who was born in September 2006. We have had constant problems with him and feel like he would be a better fit for a different family. We have 2 boys ages 5 & 8. He still tends to mouth them and jump up on them and their friends (causing terror to their friends). He has "mouthed" their friends, too (leaving scratch marks but no serious damage). He also is escaping our backyard and scaring our neighbors (because he jumps up on them and also tries to get in their houses). Our dog is becoming the terror of the neighborhood. He has been to puppy training school and is very smart. He is obstinate so we were encouraged to get a shock collar. It seems to put him in his place when he has it on. In the house, he is very calm and lies around. He is much more affectionate since he was neutered in January. He is up to date on all of his shots, too. I really do think he will be a great pet for someone who will put for the effort to be a consistent trainer to him. My children are too young to really help with that and we have run out of energy for it as well. It breaks my heart to get rid of him because I just keep hoping that in time, he will be a great dog. We worry for the safety of our neighbors and really can't wait any longer for him to get better. It is going to crush my children.... under 14 for this dog. He will need to be a home where there are no cats and obedience training will be a condition of adoption. Eli needs an owner with a strong personality who will guide him with a firm hand and consistency in becoming a good canine citizen. Eli is neutered and up to date on shots JULY 2008 - A FOREVER HOME Eli has been adopted by Dan Simpson of Colorado CONGRATULATIONS! |
