LA Rescues

On Friday, Jan. 26, we received
emails about a father and a litter of
puppies that were literally going to be
euthanized in less than 6 hours. They
were described as either Wheatables
or Neardies (bearded collie mixes).

A member of S'Wheat Rescues, Gloria,
jumped into action and raced over 2
hours to try and save the life of the
family.

When she arrived at the shelter she
was told about 2 more Wheatables, a
male and a female with a 8 week old
puppy that were also going to be
euthanized.

Well, she loaded up all 12 dogs into
her car and took them home and now
we DESPERATELY NEED YOUR HELP!!!!

All dogs will be spayed and neutered
and brought up to date on shots
before adoptions are finalized. All the
dogs are located in Youngsville, LA

February 2007 Update

All of the puppies that were taken in
were turned over to an all breed
rescue in Louisiana to be placed in
forever homes.

Unfortunately all 3 adult dogs have
been diagnosed with heartworms
which will have to be treated before
they can be spayed and neutered and
go on to their going to forever
homes. They can, however, be
treated while in foster to forever
homes.

These dogs are very much in need of
both foster homes and Angels to help
pay for their treatment.

From their foster mom:

Grover is a sweetheart and gets all
excited about playing with you. He is
doing so much better than when I first
got him. He is not so shy anymore and
wants nothing more than to be loved.
He acts like a big puppy.

March 2007 Update - Grover

Grover will begin his heartworm
treatment this Thursday, March 22.
Please keep him in your thoughts.

August 2007 - A FOREVER
HOME

Grover has been adopted by
the Pitula Family of Illinois

Congratulations!
Grover, approx 1 year old Neardie (Beardie
Mix) Male. Has been abused and is very shy
and scared. Needs someone to spend time
with him and show him all people are not
abusive.
