Kirby is a 7  month old purebred female
Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier.

She was a owner turn-in, the reason given
was that they were not told about how
Wheatens were by the breeder and that
she was too active for them.

However when we picked Kirby up we
were appalled by her condition. Matted to
the skin, fur soaked in urine and smelling
horribly. Even after several baths she is
still not smelling good. She also most
likely has both urinary tract and ear
infections.

You can see pictures of how she came in
here on the website.

Kirby will be going to the groomer to be
shaved down completely and to the vet for
treatment of the infections, shots and to
be spayed,

She has had absolutely no training and
obedience school will be a must for this
girl. She is very strong willed and will
need a home that is able to work with her
and show her how to be a good canine
citizen. She is a sweet girl, just has not
been given any direction and does not
know how she should act.

She is currently located in the Wautoma,
WI  area

Kirby went to the vet on June 15 where
she was spayed. While she was under we
had her completely shaved down so that
her first grooming experience was not one
of getting shaved down with electric
clippers. This will give her new owners a
chance to get her used to handling and
grooming as the coat grows back out and
grooming will not be traumatic for her. Her
overgrown nails were cut way back and
her ears cleaned out and plucked also
while she was under. She is on antibiotics
for the bladder infection and her shots
were updated while she was there.

Kirby will need a couple of weeks to
recover from the spay but will be ready to
move on to her forever home as soon as
she has recovered. If you are interested in
her please fill out an application ASAP

NOTE: Obedience school enrollment will
be a requirement of adoption for this
puppy. She is very strong willed and
needs someone with the willingness and
time to train her properly.
