| LAMBIE Lambie is an approx. 5 year old female Wheatable. She was a stray who ended up in a high kill shelter in VA. She was matted to the skin and covered with ticks and actually lost 7 lbs when all the matted fur was shaved off of her! We found out about Lambie literally the night before she was scheuduled to be euthanized but were able to make arrangements in time to save her. This is a pretty bad picture, we will get some better ones when she gets to her foster home. From the shelter: "She is precious. The shelter manager says she is very sweet and friendly. Lambie is a Bearded Collie/Wheaten Terrier mix who was so badly matted when she arrived that she had to be sedated and shaved. She was COVERED with tick bite. She has been treated with Frontline now and although she's porting an extreme hair cut, she's such a little sweetheart! She's very friendly and sweet. We think she is about 5 years old and she'll be pretty again when her hair grows back". Lambie is UTD on shots and is heartworm neg. She will be spayed prior to adoption. JULY 2004 - A FOREVER HOME Lambie has been adopted by the Ellis Family of New York CONGRATULATIONS!! |
