LIAM

Liam is a 1.5 year old purebred
male Soft Coated Wheaten
Terrier.

Liam has had a hard life so far.
He was kept outside tied up
with a choke chain around his
neck. The fur around his neck
is very broken and damaged
from the choke chain. Liam, of
course, did not like this
arrangement and continually
found ways to escape until his
owners got tired of chasing
him down and took him to an
animal shelter.

He was scheduled to be
euthanized on Friday, Feb. 3
but luckily for him a volunteer
at the shelter contacted us
that morning and we were able
to make emergency
arrangements to save his life.
That volunteer drove him
halfway to Kansas City so we
were able to get him into
rescue.

He is shy of people he does
not know but loves to be
petted. He is matted to the
skin and will have to be
shaved and, no surprise, he is
not neutered nor are there
any shot records.

He will go to the groomer and
to the vet for neutering and
shots in the next few days.

He is being a little camera shy
so please check back for more
pics after he has gone to the
groomer.

He is located in the Kansas
City, MO area

February 11, 2006 Update

Liam has now been to the
groomer, gotten his shots and
been neutered and is ready to
find his forever home.

April 2006 Update

Liam is such a funny little guy.
As you can see he always has
a little impish grin on his face.
He is very sweet and friendly
with people and will do fine
with a laid back female dog.
He must like it here as he has
never made any attempt to get
out of the yard here and run
off as his previous owner said
he did. He is anxiously waiting
his forever home to come
along!
