| LILA Lila is a approx. 2 year old female Wheatable. She was a stray picked up by animal control. They did locate and contact her owner who declined the chance to pick her up from the shelter. A volunteer at the shelter contacted us and asked if we could take her into rescue and after seeing the shelter pics of her we of course agreed and made the 2 hour trip to pick her up that same day so she did not have to spend another night in the shelter.. Attempts are being made to reach the previous owner and try to get some vet records on her and find out if she is spayed. We don't want to put her through unnecessary surgery or shots if we can help it. Although you cannot see it in the pics, under the top couple of inches of fur she is severly matted all the way to skin and we will unfortunately most likely have to shave her completely down. But it will grow back and as you can see she has a beautiful silky, shiny coat. She is also infested with fleas and ticks which is being treated. This is one sweet, sweet little girl. As you can see in the pics she always has a happy smile on her face and she is one of the kissiest dogs on earth. She is going to make one lucky family extremely happy! SEPTEMBER 2005 - A FOREVER HOME Lila has been adopted by the Black Family of Michigan CONGRATULATIONS! |
