LUCKY

Lucky is an approx. 1.5 year old
male Wheatable.

Lucky truly is a lucky boy. He was
spotted by a concerned
individual who say that he was
living his life on the end of a
chain with very little food and
water and substandard shelter
as you can see in the pictures.
She contacted us and asked if
she was able to get Lucky if we
would be willing to take him into
rescue and find him a home
where he will get the care he
deserves and of course we
agreed to do so. The previous
owner was approached and he
stated that he did not have time
for the dog and was happy to
hand him over.

He is not neutered and we
assume he has never had shots
as he was obviously very
neglected so we will be getting
those as well as neutering him
ASAP.

11/2 Update

From his foster mother:

Lucky keeps getting luckier!
With thanks to the Stamen
Animal Hospital, Lucky was
bathed and vaccinated at no
charge. He has somw matted fur,
marks from the harness, and
could stand to put on a few
pounds, but otherwise looks in
good health with great teeth.
He's on his way to becoming a
pampered pet and loving every
minute of it already. He is Mr.
Personality and is VERY friendly
despite the awful conditions he
was living in.

The attached photo is a picture
of Lucky with his rescuers,
Vanessa and Dianah. I was able
to pick their vehicle out when it
was coming because Lucky was
hanging his head out the
window and enjoying the
breeze. Lucky actually struck up
a conversation with a truck
driver at our transfer stop. He
kind of howled at the guy and
then gave him his paw when the
man walked over to pet him! Like
I said - - Mr. Personality!
