MOLLY

Molly is a 4 year old purebred female
Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier. Her DOB is
8/18/02.

Molly is a owner turn-in. The owner
states she does not have enough time to
properly exercise Molly and that Molly is
picking on an older dog in the home
trying to burn off some of her extra
anxiety.

Molly needs a home where she is the
only dog, as you can see in the picture,
she is fine with cats.

Sept 2007 Update

From Molly's Foster Mom:

Molly is an extremely sweet girl.  She
loves people and just cannot get
enough tummy rubs & cuddling.  Molly
really enjoys her daily walks where she
can sniff the outdoors and keep a watch
for squirrels.  She runs around my
fenced back yard a bit by herself, but
much prefers me out there with her.  She
enjoys playing fetch with her ball too.  I
think her favorite thing though is just to
be near me and get attention.  Molly is
much calmer than my other 3 Wheatens
(ages 3 - 7), and she doesn't bark much.
She is great with my cat; pretty much
ignores the cat even when it is sitting
right beside her.  I have not seen her
around children.  She is good with new
people, both men and women.  I suggest
Molly be the only dog in the household.
She seems to get along with most
submissive dogs, but she is not afraid to
"hold her own" with any dog that may
stand up to her.   I own a doggy daycare
and have had her with me at the daycare.
I can find dogs with the right
temperament for her to play with, but
she must be supervised closely, as she
can have a "naughty" play style that
some dogs do not appreciate.  While I
have seen her play with dogs and seem
to enjoy it, I really think she prefers to be
with people.   The ideal forever home for
Molly will be with someone ready to give
her lots of love and spend lots of time
with her.   Her new owner will need to be
patient with her, as I think she needs to
gain confidence and know that she won't
be moved around or abandoned again.
She is having some house training
issues, but I truly think this can be
resolved once she is in a stable
environment and settles into a routine
with a forever family.
