| PENNY Penny is a purebred female Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier. Her Estimated DOB is 6/01 Penny is a owner turn-in. Some information from them: My husband got a job that is taking our family to Switzerland for the next 4 years. We are very excited, but rather concerned for our older dog, Penny. We are concerned about her flying to NY, and then onto Switzerland, and then, when she is 13 years old, flying her back to California. We rescued Penny in Colorado and believe that she is a puppy mill survivor. She is sweet and great with kids. I cannot emphasize enough what a great watch dog she is. She gets along with other dogs off leash and with time. Penny is best with a male dog to play with or to have as a companion. She needs to be alone and untouched while eating (she food guards), but otherwise is not aggressive. She has established herself as alpha with other dogs by trying to dominate and showing her teeth, but has never bitten a person or another dog since we have had her. She is great with kids; extremely patient and loving. She likes to run around the yard and chase squirrels. :) If you travel, she is best left at home with a pet/ house sitter. The ideal home for Penny would be a family that will play with her and give her lots of love and care. Penny is charming, happy and at her best when she is with her people. Penny is spayed and up to date on shots. |
