Pete

Pete is a 2 old purebred male Soft
Coated Wheaten Terrier

He is an owner turn-in. The reason
given is that he has become
aggressive towards some other dogs,
especially at the dog park they
frequent.

He does get along with some dogs but
to be on the safe side we would like to
place him as a only pet where he has
his own fenced yard to play in. He is a
high energy Wheaten and will need to
be able to run and play.

Pete has never shown any aggression
towards humans. He is in a home with
children with no problems.

From the owner:

Pete is a wonderful companion. He
loves anyone and everyone and can't
get enough loving. We have two small
children and I can't emphasize more
how WONDERFUL and gentle he is with
them as well as any other children he
comes in contact with. He has
completed obedience classes and is
responsive to commands such as sit,
lay down, stay, wait, come and drop it.
We have a fenced yard and he loves to
run as fast as he can around it. We
regularly spend time with our families
at places where there are many dogs
and we have numerous dogs in our
neighborhood. We can't afford the risk
of harming other dogs not to mention
the risk of one of the kids getting in the
"cross-fire". We don't feel it is fair to
Pete to have to be crated or chained
away from us because of this. He is part
of our family and loved dearly. That is
why the decision to give him up as
been so painful.

Pete is up to date on shots and
neutered.

April 2007 - A FOREVER HOME
