| REMBRANDT Rembrandt is a male Wheatable. He is a cross between a purebred Wheaten and a purebred standard Poodle. His estimated DOB is 5/08 Rembrandt was born in a Missouri Puppymill. Apparently they were trying to capitalize on the "designer dog" craze and it did not work out for them and the puppies were turned over along with a lot of other dogs that the mill no longer wanted. We are always amazed by people who fall for the 'designer dog' scam and shell out thousands of dollars for dogs that are the exactly the same as all the mixed breed dogs who die in shelter every day. Another rescuer took them in and then contacted us to see if we could take them and place them since they are 1/2 Wheaten. Rembrandt came in along with his brother, Picasso and his sister, Cecilia. All three are very sweet, a little reserved to begin with but they warm up very quickly. We will get some better pictures of them in a few days after they have settled in a bit.
