| YANKEE Yankee is a 1 year old purebred male Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier. His DOB is 10-3-05 Yankee is a owner surrender. The reason given is that a mother is moving in with them and she is allergic to him. Yankee also has some allergies of his own. He is allergic to poultry, including eggs, wheat, corn and oats. His diet will have to be monitored and a high quality food that does not contain these ingredients fed to him. Yankee is reported to be a very active dog that requires a lot of exercise. We will require a fenced yard for him. He loves car rides and is very social with both people and other dogs. He is however, very rambunctious with his greetings and would be too much for small children. Yankee is neutered and up to date on shots. He is located in Middletown, NY. May 2007 Update From his foster mom: As long as you stick to a high quality brand of food with no chicken he is fine. He is a love of a dog, great Wheaten Greetin' when you come home. He is leash trained. Jumps through hula hoops and frisbee is his favorite. He is a watch dog, no one will come to your door without him letting you know. But nothing crazy, Just the normal barking and such. He gets along well with the pack... he actually isn't so wimpy anymore, he has really come around and we are really starting to see his personality.
