S'Wheat Rescues is an adoption and referral organization dedicated to placing Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers who
have been abandoned, neglected, puppy mill victims or whose present home cannot, or will not, keep them any
longer into caring, loving and permanent homes.
People wishing to adopt a dog through our program must use our online adoption application. When the
adoption application is filled out and submitted on line, you will be contacted directly by a volunteer when
you are being considered for a particular dog. We cannot screen every application for every dog and will
stop the screenings when a suitable home for a particular dog is found.
STOP AND READ - IMPORTANT INFORMATION!

Prior to filling out the Adoption Application it is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT that you read the
Q&A Section of our website for our Adoption Policies and Procedures. There is very
important information there that you need to read PRIOR to applying. You can access the
page by clicking HERE.

PLEASE ONLY APPLY TO ADOPT IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN A PARTICULAR DOG. When
we are placing dogs we search the database for applications that list that dogs name. If your
application does not list a dog it will never come up when we are searching for adopters. It
is necessary to fill out a new application whenever a dog you are interested in comes into
rescue, however you can list more than one dog on your application.


Before applying for a particular dog, please check that dogs webpage. If the page contains   
a red box indicating that an homeheck or adoption is pending or in progress, there is no
need to fill out an application for that dog as it will not be considered.  If for some reason the
adoption falls through the red box will be removed from that dogs page and you could then
submit an application.
